Swiss-born, London-based songwriter and producer Nick Albertz kicked off his musical journey at the age of 14 by piecing together a home studio with a £10 USB microphone, makeshift soundproofing using egg cartons and heavy blankets, recording YouTube covers, and learning about songwriting and production. Nick has since released two studio albums and two EPs, and he is currently studying at BIMM London. As Nick Vega, he crafts dark, cinematic pop, making you feel like the main character of a Hollywood movie. Beyond his solo endeavours, he's co-written numerous songs for other artists. His musical journey includes a memorable performance at the "Live at Sunset" festival in Zurich in 2013 and writing the song "Ja, ich will," performed by a roster of A-list Swiss artists for the nationwide political campaign for marriage equality. "Ja, ich will" was thereafter played at Zurich Pride in 2021. Growing up with lots of classical music, Nick's always been fascinated by symphonic music. Playing piano and cello, he arranged strings for several Swiss and UK pop artists. Nick continues to enchant audiences with his unique blend of nostalgic allure and contemporary artistry.
